MURMANSK
Murmansk is my home. Located in extreme northwest Russia with a seaport on the Kola Bay, 12km from Barents Sea.

It is a peninsula with polar nights and days. Many high mountains with tundra regions. Very cold. -8 degrees, day. -10 degrees at night.

We are also home to important navy base because it is ice-free all year round, thanks to warm North Atlantic drift ocean current.

During World War II, Murmansk was transit point for supplies entering Soviet Union from Allied countries. Cold War – it was a centre of Soviet submarine activity.

Maybe now it is used as base for foreign trade deal? Or to smuggle goods?
